Glen gave devotions.

Will need to change the meeting day. T-bone Tooters will be closed on Tuesdays.

Charles opened with prayer.

Reviewed last meetings minutes.

Corrections:  On Older Ministry: Want to get featured “Shut-in”. Charles got w/ Sue and she agreed. Charles to confirm with her. Sue will interview – looking for testimony not just history. On guest speakers: Glen to talk with Louise Jennings about speaking to us about Kingsway but not till next year.

Ongoing business:

·         Evaluation on Coachmen concert. Felt it was a success. Two-thirds of the audience was from outside the church. Had 80+ in attendance including 2 families that express they were looking for a church.

·         Wood project went well. Parnassus participated.

·         Charles talked with Steve Saufley for a mission Sunday / needs 30 minutes for his program. Will look for a date med-October. Glen to get back to Charles on scheduling.

·         Mission Sundays: Four are planned. Glen will handle integrating them into the worship service.

New Ideas:

·         Valley Missions- in need of food and support. At full capacity in the homeless shelter. Charles took a side of beef.  Some of the Lawn Party earnings had been donated in the past out of the 10% tithing.  Glen will ask Ruthie Snyder about being chair of the Food Ministry.

·         Angel Food Ministries were discussed. Can e and get info off their website. Churches are host sites and distribution points. The church orders boxes and get food at ½ price. There are no qualifications to receive the food. There is a $50, one-time, application fee to be a host site. (Melissa is interested in working with this. Two churches in our area are already hosts. This will fall under the Food Ministry. Betty mentioned that he church used to get some food from the food bank for distribution to needy families.

·         Christmas Lancaster Trip planned. Charles is looked into a Christmas booking. All 1:00 Sat. performances are sold out. Some openings on weekdays exist. Doing a Christmas trip could be difficult depending on the weather. Also had inquires about “Joseph.” To book a date close to this year’s trip – will need to lock in tickets very soon. Looking at June 26, 2010. It was agreed that Charles will book the seats. A $100 deposit will be paid by the church- taken out of ministries budget

It was agreed that we would move the meeting to the first Thursday of the month and keep it at T-Bone Tooters.  Next meetings focus will be on Ongoing Ministries.
