Good Works Team

October 1, 2009

The Good News Team met on Thursday Morning, October 1. 2009 at T-Bone Tooter Restaurant, Churchville, VA. (A permanent change from the previous first Tuesday Morning schedule.)

Devotions were led by Charles Curry from Luke 12:33:  "Be dressed and ready for service.  It will be good for them that He find His servants ready.  Where your treasure is, there is where your heart is also."

After a review of the previous month's minutes, a review of the 2010 Outreach Ministries Organization was accepted.  Beginning in January, the committee meetings will be every other month (Jan., March, etc.) and the whole group meetings every other month (Feb., April, etc.).  It was suggested that all committee chairpersons meet for an orientation meeting with their helpers on December 8 at 7 pm.  Following this meeting, the chairpersons will report their plans back to our group.

Two upcoming items were discussed:

Sue will begin featuring a Senior Testimony in our Church newsletter.

Glen and Betty will work on preparation for upcoming Mission Sundays.

Betty Young will lead our devotions next month.

The next meeting will be held Thursday morning, November 5 at 9 am at T-Bone Tooter.  Everyone is welcome to attend.
